DESCRIPTION:
RI Genealogical Society’s 50th Anniversary Celebration Dinner in the Crowne Plaza Newport Room, beginning at 5:30 pm with Cash Bar, 6:30 pm Dinner, and Speaking Program to follow. Guest Speakers: Lauren Fogarty, M.A., Program Coordinator for the Rhode Island Semiquincentennial Commission (RI250), leading efforts to commemorate Rhode Island’s role in the American Revolution through public programs, civic engagement, and heritage tourism; and Ashley Selima, MLIS, MPA, CA, Director of State Archives & Public Records Administration for the state of Rhode Island, working with agencies and stakeholders throughout the state to ensure proper care and management of public records for their entire lifecycle.
