The Liberty Tree Project
Ahead of the nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026, one Red Maple tree will be planted in each of our thirty-nine municipalities to honor our history and Rhode Island’s pivotal role in the Revolution.
In partnership with the Rhode Island Historical Society, the RI250 Commission is collecting donations to fund the Liberty Tree Project.
